Young People Harnessing the Power of Technology and Social Media for Peace
Discover how and why young peacebuilders use technology and social media to bridge cultural, ethical, and religious barriers and create a social movement.
Read stories from the ground and learn about the challenges and potential of digital peacebuilding. Building on the paper's findings for the need to create a collaborative online space for young people to promote and showcase their creative work and stories using technology to build and sustain peace, the Technology for Youth, Peace, and Security (TECH4YPS) platform was created.
Are you a young peacebuilder using social media and technology for peace? Submit your initiative to the Technology for Youth, Peace, and Security (TECH4YPS) platform, a space for young peacebuilders to showcase, learn, and exchange innovative technology and social media use in advancing their peacebuilding efforts.
The paper "Young People Harnessing the Power of Technology and Social Media for Peace Initiative'' and the TECH4YPS platform were, co-created by Justice Call, GPPAC Youth, Peace and Security working group members, and partner organizations in an inclusive and participatory way. They were developed after a series of consultations to share insights, stories, tools, recommendations and resources around youth digital peacebuilding.
