Financial Report 2025

In 2025, GPPAC operated in an international environment where violent conflict remained widespread, civilian harm continued to increase, and multilateral mechanisms for conflict management came under greater strain. These developments have placed renewed pressure on conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts, while underscoring the continued relevance of locally led networked approaches. 

Against this backdrop, GPPAC contributed to peacebuilding and conflict prevention through three main programme streams: Connections for Peace, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands; the Climate, Peace and Security programme, funded by the European Union; and the Rapid Response Window, funded by the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund. Together with GPPAC's continued engagement in global policy processes, these programmes supported locally led action, policy influence, and inclusive peacebuilding across different contexts.

In 2025, GPPAC transitioned from a funding model combining core unrestricted support with project-based funding to one financed almost entirely through donor-funded projects. This required corresponding adjustments in cost allocation. Governance strengthening was initiated in 2025 through the launch of the new Strategic Plan process and the initial scoping phase of the PeaceNexus-supported governance process. This work will continue in 2026.
