Paper submission to the Global Study on Women, Peace and Security: Strengthening peace and security approaches through long-term prevention of conflict

In April 2015 GPPAC published a Paper submission to the Global Study on Women, Peace and Security: Strengthening peace and security approaches through long-term prevention of conflict based on examples and statements provided by gender focal points. The paper advocates for the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace, and security from the perspective of prevention. It has a strong focus on conflict prevention and emphasises the need to recognise, highlight and involve women through their active roles in conflict prevention efforts, as part of any holistic engagement towards sustainable peace and build on and promote women's active leadership from inside GPPAC network.
