The Conference in Dublin is the regional conference for the Northern, Western and Southern European region (including the enlarged EU, Norway and Switzerland). The conference is part of a series of conferences being run by the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict. The three-day conference is organised by the European Centre for Conflict Prevention (ECCP) in co-operation with the Irish Presidency of the EU, and the Irish Steering Committee in the framework of the Irish EU Presidency.

At the first two days,  the regional Action Agenda is discussed. At the third day, the Action Agenda will be presented to a High Level Panel, and high level governmental, EU and UN representatives, as well as some 60 governmental representatives from the Enlarged EU Foreign Affairs (CIVCOM) and Development Co-operation departments.

The programme of the conference focuses on key issues for the European civil society organisations and actors, such as advocacy and lobby, civil society involvement in EU Civilian Crisis Management, the EU CFSP and conflict prevention, development and peacebuilding, and interaction between civil society and governments, the EU and the UN.
